Harry Hall One Club ACE Championships with British Eventing

At Harry Hall, horses are not just horses; they are our entire world! When we launched the One Club back in 2017, our vision was to help make horse ownership more affordable and build an inclusive, supportive community through our membership, insurance and shopping. This became our brand promise and is as relevant today as it was then.

This ethos aligns perfectly with the Harry Hall One Club ACE (Anyone Can Event) series, which invites riders of varying ages and skill levels to have a go at arena-style eventing within a supportive environment. The series includes four height categories starting at 70cm through to 1m and involves competing over a course of show jumps and cross country styled knock down fences – perfect for those beginning their British Eventing journey and looking to build their confidence! We’re super proud to partner with British Eventing on such a fun and inclusive event.

What competitors say

Karen and Custard's story

One year after falling from her horse and suffering a serious concussion, 58-year-old Postwoman has finished in the top three at the annual Harry Hall One Club ACE (Any One Can Event) Championships.

Speaking about her fall before taking part, Karen explains: “I was still very new to eventing and riding in a formal setting, so I when I came off Custard it really knocked my confidence. I started taking part in competitions again, and it was exactly a year from my fall when I qualified for the Harry Hall One Club ACE Champs – that’s fate isn’t it!”

The Harry Hall One Club ACE Championships provide a pathway into eventing for riders who may not feel ready to start competing across solid fences or in traditional eventing. Karen, who describes herself as the “epitome of anyone can event”, regretted hanging up her reins as a teenager and pursued the hobby again once she was able to buy a horse of her own.

She adds: “I want to try and inspire all the older, less confident horse riders out there. It’s frightening to get into eventing and people think ‘no I can’t do that’ but the enjoyment, thrill and accomplishment is worth every minute!”

“At Harry Hall, we’re dedicated to making the equestrian sport as accessible and affordable for as many people in the UK as possible. We do this through our One Club membership, which aims to provide a helping hand for horse owners and riders of all ages and abilities. This focus aligns perfectly with the values of the Harry Hall One Club ACE Championships, which is open to riders across a range of age brackets and skill levels.

The championships at Aintree were a brilliant success and the feedback from the participants has been that it’s a fantastic competition and environment for riders of varying ages and abilities to have a go at arena style eventing. A relief to have vet fees insurance

“I’ve always had my horses insured but was previously paying £60 a month per horse and more and more things were getting excluded. So I thought I would give the accidental external injury Harry Hall Vet Fees insurance a go and I’m glad I did.

The process was so good and there was no quibbling. I chose to pay the vet and claim it back separately, it was so easy, and quick and thankfully took away all the hassle and worry.”
