Visual, Audio & Technology Assistance
We understand the use of technology and gadgets can sometimes present its own set of challenges especially if you have a visual impairment or identify as disabled. At Harry Hall, we can recommend a few hints and tips to assist
- Changing the settings of your internet browser or using voice-to-speech technology
- Increase the size of the text on your screen or magnify the screen
- Click anywhere on the screen using your mouse. Press (Ctrl and then keep pressing the (+) button to increase view size)
- On your keyboard, press (Ctrl and using the scroll wheel of your mouse, scroll up or down. This will increase or decrease the view size)
- Alternatively in the settings section of your browser you will find Zoom (in/out) option
Text Relay Service
- If you have a hearing impairment or experience difficulty with your speech, we accept calls that come via a Text Relay Service
- You will be initially connected to a relay assistant who will join the call between you and us. They’ll read out the text you’ve typed using your text phone or other device.
- The relay assistants are equally bound to UK GDPR confidentiality, and any details you share with them such as identification details or financial information, are secure and protected.

If you have a visual impairment or are partially sighted, at Harry Hall we can provide your document in larger font types.

Mental Wellbeing Support
Mental health is extremely important, and we know that if you’re going through a bereavement, separation or other challenges, it can be hard to get on top of things.
Rest assured, there are plenty of resources available to assist should help and support be needed.
Your first step would be to speak with your local General Partitioner or Specialist Doctor/Consultant.
Additionally, there are many other dedicated online resources and charities who can help; to name a few
Mind
Mind is a supported self-help service available for adults residing in the United Kingdom. They have a dedicated team that can assist with mental health topics and are a useful point of support.

Samaritans
Samaritans are there 24/7 and 365 days a year service waiting to talk to anyone who’s struggling to cope mentally.
Samaritans are not only a moment of crisis service but are additionally there to help prevent one. They will listen without judgement, prejudice or pressure.

Alzheimer’s Society are an organisation dedicated to helping those living with dementia and providing support.
